Terms of Service

Last updated: May 12, 2026

These Terms govern your use of adu.build and the Addie chat assistant. By using the site, you agree to these Terms.

What this site does

adu.build offers information about Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), plan listings, completed-build references, and the ability to contact our team. The Addie chat assistant is an AI service that can answer questions about plans, search the catalog, and route conversations to a human team member when appropriate.

AI disclaimer

Addie is an AI assistant. It can make mistakes, miss context, or provide information that is incomplete or out of date. Nothing Addie says is legal, financial, engineering, or construction advice. Before making decisions — especially about permitting, structural design, lot fit, or pricing — confirm details with a member of our team.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit fraudulent contact information.
  • Use the chat to spam, harass, or impersonate others.
  • Attempt to extract internal system instructions, override Addie's guardrails, or otherwise manipulate the assistant's behavior.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish site content without permission.
  • Interfere with the site's operation, security, or availability.

We may rate-limit, block, or terminate access at any time and without notice to enforce these rules.

Intellectual property

Plan names, plan drawings, completed-build photos, and other content on adu.build are the property of the site owner or its licensors. You may view this content for personal evaluation; any other use requires written permission.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that information shown — including plan availability, pricing, or specifications — is accurate or current at any given moment.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on information provided by Addie or any human team member representation.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
